FFXIV patch 6.3, Gods Revel, Lands Tremble, is releasing on January 10th. Ahead of the update, Square Enix posted Initial patch notes, a description of what players can expect. It’s a hefty list, so we’ve cherry-picked some of the changes and updates below.
6.3 will include a new main scenario quest update featuring a new icy-looking dungeon called Lapis Manalis. There will also be a new trial and raid, but no details on what either will be (literally, the patch notes say “hidden”).
And of course, as previously teased, 6.3 will drop the new Alliance Raid Euphrosyne. This is the next raid featuring twelve. I Latest Live Letter, director Naoki Yoshida previewed what the Euphrosyne gear would look like. From the physical photos that she holds to the camera, they have a blue and white theme, with silver detailing.
The island sanctuary is also getting updates. There will be two new ranks, a new approach, new gathering locations and materials, new sanctuary crafting recipes, and new animals. Quality of life is a group of variables such as fluctuations in the price of handicrafts and exhibiting the ability to filter handicrafts through multiple terms.
In Battle QoLs, countdown timers for enhancing and weakening effects will now be displayed in the party menu. Players can now also save more waymark presets. The maximum number of slots has been increased from five to 30.
Also, in a very important update, Vieras and Hrothgars get new hairstyles. More items are also no longer gender-locked, and there are new filter options for items in the Glamor Dresser. There are also new stickers for sticker mode in group pose, along with new frames and other RGB adjustments.
There are a bunch of other QoL updates, so head over to the official FFXIV patch notes page for those, as well as more information on what’s new for PvP and crafting/gathering jobs.
