Now that the money has come can check out where you’ll be playing Trials of Osiris this weekend and what weapons you can earn.

Trial Weapons now feature Elkrity Origins. It gives you aim assist, reload speed, stability and range on your trial guns when you’re the last surviving member of a fire team or going solo. You can also choose to switch to the Crucible Origin trait, One Quiet Moment, which greatly increases the reload speed of your gun when you reload while out of combat.

As always, trials are available from the daily reset on Fridays at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET until the weekly reset at the same time the following Tuesday. During this time, you can also visit Xur to see what Exotics he is selling. Be sure to visit Saint-14 in the tower to pick up the Trials card, which will command certain bonuses (such as whether you’ll receive bonus rewards at certain milestones or have damage forgiven).

Trials of Osiris is a weekend PvP mode that runs from a daily reset on Friday to a weekly reset on Tuesday, giving you four days to participate. Your goal in Trials is to achieve a “flawless” run for you and the other two players on your fire team, in which you win seven matches without losing.

Stay flawless and you’ll visit the lighthouse and earn some special rewards, including new specialist weapons. They have additional stat bonuses, making them among the most favored items you can lay your hands on.

Thanks to a bunch of changes to Trials this year, though, getting into the mode is easier than ever. Trials of Osiris now features matchmaking, so you can jump into matches even if you don’t have a full three-player squad to take it on. Your Trial Passage–the card you buy at St-14 that gives you access to the mod and tracks your winnings–now does no Track your losses–so you can keep playing and earning rewards even if you lose a flawless run. Bungie has also adjusted trials to reward you based on your numbers. Dizzyinstead of matches, you win during your session, and added a reputation system similar to Crucible and Gambit, making it easier to get some Trials of Osiris unique loot.

Finally, you’ll earn Trials Engrams for participating in the mod, which you can cash in with Saint-14 over the weekend. You can tune these engrams to get specific pieces of loot, or take your chances with random drops that will expand what’s available in your loot pool. So even if you’re just jumping into trials, there are plenty of ways you can get some great new gear.
